The Design Island

Lunapark. The Design Island one of the largest design exhibitions in Korean history, was created by Artistic Director Stefano Giovannoni and curated by Cristina Morozzi and Chiara Savino. Inside the exhibition, there are 300 original works by over 100 famous designers which have been displayed in an area transformed into a sort of fun park. The presence of interactive elements makes the experience even more special.
The "apparent" result is a variegated collection of symbolic objects with magic powers, but if we look closer, we can see a selection of products that can be admired. These are day-to-day objects made by well-known designers to be functional but "playful". The goal is to show people how design can be surprisingly functional and contemporary.
