Bombo has now entered the collective consciousness as the contemporary stool. This icon, as famous as it is imitated, was the "architect" of the economic success of its manufacturer Magis.The company had turned to Giovannoni to ask him for advice on what to do with some surplus gas pistons stored in the warehouse.Thus was born a height-adjustable bar stool. It was an overnight success, doubling the company's sales.
Along with its functionality, Bombo is convincing because of the highly characterizing solution of its injection-moulded ABS seat available in an assortment of colours. Amazingly photogenic, it comes as no surprise that this stool has often been used on TV shows, proof of Giovannoni's great talent as a communicator, a man who finds consumer society and the communication society to be his natural interlocutors.
